Hello! It's been awhile since I last posted on this page, but I've decided to start it up again. Previously when I posted, I posted about the shows I was attending. Sadly, my health got the better of me, and I can no longer do the craft show circuit except maybe once each season. But, I'm not letting this stop me, and have decided to post my postcard creations on here, and chat about the designs. I made this design for my own house, to brighten up things with a bit of Autumn glitter! Autumn is my favorite season, and I can't resist all the goodies around the craft stores and sites for this beautiful time of year. This postcard was actually from an advertisement, but the boy and girl on the swings, the "brother" (in my mind) looking after his little sister, reminded me of the relationship between my brother and I. I decided to decorate it simply, with two glittered leaves in orange and yellow to set off those colors in the main design itself. I also painstakingly hand glittered the minute details of the girl's sash and shoes, and the boy's collar and shoes. I didn't add my usual jeweled bling, preferring the simplicity of the glitter's sparkle.

I cannot even begin to explain what JOY, sheer JOY, it gives me to be writing that Autumn is just around the corner!! I confess it-- I am one of those weirdos who love cold weather--give me a mound of blankets on a comfy bed, a cup of tea, crafts and classic films, a good book or magazine as I snuggle up in that comfy bed, add my cat Jolly, and I would be all set! The coziness of Autumn is such a blessing to me, as it brings people closer together sharing that warmth between them. These are two of my cards from my upcoming Autumn collection of Art Cards. They are multi-layered, jeweled, and chock full of rich, deep autumn tones. Keep an eye, because there's more to come!

This is my newest journey. Taking my creations to the streets, so to speak. In June of this year, I did my first ever craft fair with the 3D art cards I create. They are greeting cards with a place on the back for your message, as well as a decorative item you can hang on your wall. This makes them a longer lasting keepsake that the receiver can continue to display and enjoy everyday. I've also made many that can be used for the buyer to decorate their homes with, as art. This is the first year that I've streamlined my styles and ideas for a cohesive collection of decorative items, and I'm looking forward to it's growth and expansion to hand sewn items and prints of my artwork. In this picture, I am standing in the center with my wonderful support system, one of my besties, Marcy and another of my besties, my Mother, Clara. This day was a great success, and gave me a feel for the atmosphere as a seller. I also met some lovely sellers around me, and am looking forward to my next fair on August 29th in Beacon, NY.
